Possible EVS was honored to host Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, the Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), at our electric vehicle experience center today. The primary objective of this official visit was to showcase Possible EVS’s readiness to spearhead electric vehicle manufacturing and explore avenues for collaboration and support from the NADDC.
The meeting served as a platform for fruitful discussions and marked a significant milestone as Possible EVS took the opportunity to unveil a landmark partnership agreement with the federal government. This landmark deal solidifies our commitment to revolutionize Nigeria’s transportation landscape through the deployment of 100 cutting-edge electric buses within the first quarter of the upcoming year.
Additionally, Possible EVS’s CEO seized the moment to announce ambitious plans for the company’s future. Plans include raising an impressive $100 million earmarked for the establishment of an advanced electric vehicle manufacturing plant, laying the groundwork for pioneering advancements in sustainable transportation solutions within the region.
“We can’t always be at the receiving end of technology innovation,” said Mosope Olaosebikan, Founder and CEO of Possible EVS.
“Our work so far has been trying to make Nigerians understand that it’s possible to lead electric vehicle manufacturing in Africa,” Mosope continued. “I think this is an opportunity for Nigeria. We have a new opportunity to pioneer a revolutionary technology. And we know that we can achieve this with the support of the NADDC.”
During the discussions, both parties engaged in a constructive dialogue centering on support mechanisms and collaborative frameworks to fortify Possible EVS’s initiatives in the electric vehicle domain. The NADDC demonstrated keen interest and affirmed its commitment to bolstering the company’s efforts by providing essential support, regulatory guidance, and strategic partnerships to expedite the successful deployment and manufacturing endeavors.
“On behalf of the federal government and the council, I wish to commend Possible EVS for what they’re doing,” said Oluwemimo Osanipin, DG of NADDC. “We’ll process your license as fast as possible.
