The DG of NADDC Visits EVEC, Declares Support for the Possible EVS Initiative

The Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr. Jelani Aliyu, MFR, visited EVEC, Nigeria’s first multi-brand electric vehicle car dealership and experience center, on Friday, September 22, 2023.

The purpose of the visit was to explore the center, its effort in driving the adoption of electric vehicles in Nigeria, and the potential for supporting Possible EVS in manufacturing Nigerian-made electric vehicles.

After taking a tour of the facility, the DG expressed excitement and the NADDC’s full support for Possible EVS’s initiative.

“I’m very impressed,” said Jelani Aliyu, Director-General of NADDC. “You’ve displayed a high caliber of professionalism, imagination, and pure passion. You’ve created a platform where young Nigerians are given the opportunity to develop this idea for the benefit of not just Nigeria but also Africa and the world. Rest assured that formally (through NADDC) and personally, you have our support. Please go forward with the product development.”

Possible EVS and the NADDC share a common vision of positioning Nigeria as one of the leading automotive manufacturing nations in the world. The visit by the Director-General underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving our collective goal of making Nigeria a supplier of advanced technology solutions that make a difference in the world.

“My experience here at Possible EVS has been incredible,” Mr. Aliyu declared. “The vision that they have and the commitment that they have already shown toward developing Nigerian-made electric vehicles is very impressive. This is exactly the type of development needed in Africa, where we have a company with dedicated leadership committed to making a difference. The council at NADDC will continue to support endeavors such as this to see that Nigeria goes on the map as a country known for advanced technology that makes a difference.”

At Possible EVS, we see a Nigeria where electric vehicles become the prevalent mode of transportation, reducing our carbon footprint and helping ease the financial burden of traditional fuel costs. By investing in electric mobility, we aim to create an efficient and reliable transport system, position Nigeria as a leader in electric vehicle manufacturing, and ensure a sustainable future for our beloved nation.
